Who gives a poo what anyone else thinks?
Oh, and if being a hairdresser means
1) You get to work with da beautiful laydeez,
and
2) You earn as much as Nicky Clarke,
Then I cant see the problem

Yeah but with both of those you can still be labelled with that good old fashioned homophobic stereotype if you are a male hairdresser, regardless of working with lovely ladies or earning mass amount.
But like you said, who gives a poo? I don't, each to ones own, i just think of it of people being jealous and full of envy.

and being a hairdresser aint all its cracked up to be ... you're on your feet for around 10 hours a day going without lunch coz some mother has attacked her child with ther clippers/scissors and little johnny is due his school photos... ( see the jimmy nesbit yellow pages advert for example)
the realities of the lovelies coming in hits you when you are staring up the nostril of some bald bloke that smells and just wants to try and grope you whilst you trim his nostril hair! or you end up covered in all kinds of chemicals and stink to high heaven yourself....
very glam....... NOT

I don't know how long it will last, she seems into it alot but still won't cut my hair which annoys the heck out of me.

Thats how I first came to know of the Puma. Went through car magazines creating a short list of sporty little cars I liked and then crossed them off when they didnt match something in my list of criteria. After checking insurance costs I only had 2 or 3 cars left on the list.
So...long live the "hairdressers car" moniker

come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

And on the subject of hair dressers i work in a college library and we have about 14 million books on hairdressing and nothing else becasue its the only thing anyone seems to want to do anymore. Well that, childcare and beauty for the girls and sports science and car repair for lads.

It gave me a grin like a cheshire cat then, and it still does now!
I find the antidote to the homo/hairdresser label is to take the person who made the comment out for a spin. Now i wish i had leather seats - i need a 'wipe-clean' finish to the passengers seat.

When I left school I wanted to do an engineering degree but me dad made me get a job .. but then he didn't like me much...
The ex hubby was the same .... hence he's an EX hubby!!
I've had a couple of passengers which is unlike me, they both emerged from the Kat grinning ear to ear, same as I do. We must have looked like a special needs day trip lol. Although I don't really care 'coz I love me Kat,
I dont blame your lass for not wanting to do your hair.... when you spend all day doing summat the last thing u wanna do is carry on at home. Isnt the old addage that mechanics always have crappy cars? same applies to hairdressers.. ... don't take it personally.
