The little Puma badge on the rear window on the passenger side of my Puma was loose so I decided to remove it to see what it looked like. I've cleaned everything up and I can't decide whether to remove the drivers side or get a new passenger side one (or just stick it back on again)...so I though I'd ask you lot wink.gif

Heres pictures of the car with the badges fitted:

And heres a couple of the passenger side without a badge:

On the one hand I'm thinking keep it as its an original part of the car... but then without the badge I think it makes the car look cleaner and smoother (which I'm aiming for, i'll be tinting the fogs and side indicators over summer), plus the chrome is starting to wear from the original bagdes possibly cheapening the look of the car, and I already have Puma badges on the car as I replaced the Ford badges with black and chrome Puma badges... What do you guys think? Or am I looking into this too far? biggrin.gif

im 50/50
when i first got my puma i thought the badge was a nice touch, however, i do agree that removing some badges can improve the look of a car - makes it look less 'cluttered'
however im 50/50

Think it does look a little bit cleaner with that badge removed. Just remove the other one. You can always replace them if you decide you don't like them

Have the same sort of thing one mine where one has come off, but I'm too lazy to sort mine out lol biggrin.gif

Really? Would you actually notice if they weren't there? Well I can always keep them and stick them back on if I want to sell the car...

I think the side window Puma-badging is pretty subtle compared to every other car thats badged on it's tailgate area. That said, there was a member (Carrie) who debadged her Black Puma as part of a "stealth" exercise which involved blacking out the door locks, fitting smoked side repeaters etc. The result was quite striking.

Go with what you like the most and if you do remove them, perhaps keep some spare for the day you come to sell? (Not that you would want to biggrin.gif ) That way no one will think you've had an accident etc.

IMO the standard badges look fine and I think it's quite a funky logo. Don't some of them have the word "VCT" underneath them?

My FRP hasn't had it's side badges since I purchased it. I think I will be getting some from Pumabuild soon though to keep the car looking as standard as possible. It's not quite the same without them.

I'm a little worried that if I get some new ones for my FRP then some little twerp will try to steal them to stick on their fiesta or something. Anyone fallen prey to this?

Well I've taken the drivers side off and it looks better in my opinion. I've kept them both though so I can replace them if needed in the future.

shinigami, I know someone who had their Puma badges nicked. Just a step up from nicking the dust caps I guess! rolleyes.gif

Yep, I've had that. My last car was an escort with some nice alloys on it. The very day after I got it, the metal dust caps where gone! Kids also nick them for their bicycles.

I can imagine getting the badges and some moron who wants the "ford racing" badges tries to get them off and damages the glass or something. Because of this I'm taking ages to think about it. Maybe I'll do the same as you, I'll buy some and then stick them on when needed. That way it's less to worry about.

Then why are you bothered?

Personally, I'd never remove them or any other badge.

Yes.

I'd certainly agree it looks different with them removed, as for better... dry.gif

Without the badge there's more risk of people thinking it's a Tigra... ohmy.gif

I'm planning to tint the side repeaters and fogs on the rear bumper as well to try and smooth the car off more smile.gif
