Check Thy Bush!..

as you can see from this picture, the bush is completly knackered and has not only degraded but seperated from it's own casing...
when on the car the wear is a lot less obvious and you can only see a 'crack line' of seperation of the bush....and doesn't look too bad, hence it not failing...
when removed from the car, after a bit of wiggling around, its soon pretty obvious how bad the wear is....
SO... if you see any hairline cracking around the bush casing, get them changed... it makes a world of difference to the way the car feels and drives...

Car is totally transformed..! Get them done - the rewards are huge.
Got Bushes from Fiesta Centre (in Norfolk) - cheaper (better) alternative to Powerflex and not quite as stiff...

eldude, im calling upon your wisdom: poly bushes only fit oe ford wishbones correct?
if so, how do i tell if my puma has ford wishbones?
do the new bushes have to be pressed into the arms?
sorry for all the questions...
help much appreciated

yep, you need a press mate...
To fit a rear beam bush is a whole different story...you need a specific kit or take off the rear beam and stand it in a press.... big job!..

rear wishbone bushes: destroy to get out, press poly ones in?
front wishbone bushes: as above?
