Frp Fuel Of Choice By Owners?

In the UK we have a very good grade of petrol compared to some other counties, but wondered what the consensus on this is. Or, do you vary depending upon your mood? Do you prefer - Supermarket or Petrol stations? Of course the former being typically cheaper, but some feel what is offered at Petrol Stations is better. Or do you not have a particular view and just put 'whatever petrol' in and where you happen to pass when running low?
The three factors for those who make a concious choice other than price of course may likely be:
1: Performance
2: MPG
3: Emissions - important for the MOT pass.
Or are there others for you?
I'll kick-off by saying I used to always use Super Unleaded in the FRP, (normally BP 97 RON or Tesco 99 RON) but if used more every-day and with much higher petrol prices over the recent years, using normal unleaded has a greater appeal at often 10p a litre less (£3 - 4 a fill-up difference can add-up over a year)
Would welcome discussion on the topic and to see what people think by way of the poll too.

Interesting. Where and who would make/tweak your ECU to make use of the additional potency?

I found this out by pure chance one day when I really needed to fill up but all they had was super and was amazed by how more eager the car felt running on it. Did a little detective work and found that a previous owner had the car mapped to take advantage of super.
I always use it now and if I have to use regular the car feels, I wouldnt say slugish but doesnt seem as happy with it, just wish it wasnt as expensive

Following hearing a review which compared different fuels, and what came out top I've started to use Shell V Power. I didn't have this on my radar particularly in the past as there not a Shell garage on my doorstep, and if buying at my nearest one, it still requires a trip of a few miles. I was also somewhat sceptical as to how much difference it could really make, but wanted to give it a go compared to other 'premium' fuels I've used in the past.
BUT to my delight. I've found it to be just brilliant - Seriously so. It's not just a case of 'maybe it might be a bit better'. It really makes the whole car come alive more and is genuinely noticeable, particularly in the power band between 4000-5500 RPM
The FRP so much more extra-eager now - much better than any other brands of Ultimate/97/99 Ron I've tried. So I've now decided to always use it in the future unless I'm ever in a situation when I need fuel, and really can't find it en-route etc where I am.
