body wise I want to make it wider by 30mm wheel and flair the arches to suit the new stance.
suspension wise for now to get it through its mot im fitting cheap stuff and then fitting better stuff at a later date. Im going to be lowering it by 30-40mm all round with springs and shocks but for now I may be very cheeky and just cut a cheeky curl off the springs to drop it 20-30mm.
pics of the work to follow, im rebuilding the front suspension this afternoon.

Hi all,
Here is the first update of my Mondeo, rebuilt the front end up with new wishbones, drop links and arb bushes. Im going to be building up the front end soon ready for the mot. as most days when I plan to do something it rains and yesterday was no different, I had to push the puma into the back of the garage and nose the Mondeo in so I wasn't getting rained on while working.
here are a couple of pics of the job itself.
here is the box of goodies
stripping the drivers side down.
I found that my oil filter was leaking /> I wondered where the few drops of oil were coming from so while I had her in buts a gave her an oil and filter change (she was due for one anyway /> )
here it is all built up.
the other side was basically the same and as it was getting wetter and colder I only took one picture of this problem child that I had to remove this a hacksaw and fit a new bolt from underneath.
I did chop a cheeky curl off each spring as the mk1+2 Mondeo sit stupidly high at the front compared to the back, I sisnt take a picture of the before but I nicked one of a 1.8 with the same wheels.
Before.
After
I will add more progress in a couple of days when the back has been rebuilt.
Cheers Kieran (FibreBuild)

well I rebuilt the back end replacing the arb bushes, drop links and all the other bushes as well, the car did had new rear wheel bearings, front springs and front pads for the last mot and a complete new rear brake set up including handbrake for the one before so there isn't a lot that the car hasn't had over the last couple of years.
I was told that it may need new shockers on the front and left rear but the wasn't bad enough to be put on the advisories list other than that he told me I had a good solid car and good work for looking after it so well />
looks like I may have to buy a set of uprated springs and shocks in the next 12 months.

first thing first will be a couple of major thing that need doing!!!
replacement sump
drivers rear wheel bearing
2 new tyres and tracking done.
then once they are complete I will be doing a well overdue major service on her.
oil and filter change
spark plugs and ht leads
clutch& slave
water pump
new aux belt
new alternator
cam belt and tensioner
and anything else that needs to be replaced
then over time I will be spending money on the running gear.
new steering rack
new/ recon drive shafts
replace the remaining wheel bearings
new hand break system
gearbox (my sycro's are noisy)
fix air con
then i will start modding/upgrading
poly bushes all round
uprated suspension
300 front brake set up
5 stud conversion
18 inch st alloys
body work!!!
I may make some sort of wide arch to fit to her
a colour change to panther black may beon the cars
followed by spacers/ suspension rebuild.
i know its daft to spend so much money on a car thats worth less than £800 but i wont be spending it all in one go and tbh i would rather keep the mondingo on the road over buying a 2k car anyday.
will update as i go but there wont be much for a couple of weeks yet.
cheers Kieran
