At the tender age of 34 i have finally found a taste for Jack Daniels !!! - after spending my whole life wincing at the thought
of necking any form of Whisky, my dad has finally broken me down and got me into JD !!!

Has anyone else 'grown' into a drink as they have gotten older that they never liked when young?

And...whats everyones favourite tipple?

I have always liked (loved) G&T's and guess I grew into Champagne (can't get enough of it now!).

I've grown into using whisky when suffering from colds/flu etc.

A full bodied shiraz is my daily tipple (not a full bottle of course ph34r.gif )

I don't really drink but when I do I tend to stick to boring old lager.

Reminds me of when i was in Cyprus the other month and popped into a local off licence to be amazed at how cheap the booze was, looked at the shelves in amazement to see a LARGE bottle of Smirnoff for just £5 !!! - its not till i did a double take that i realised the bottle said SIMONOFF !! laugh.gif laugh.gif - was probably that stuff that sends you blind!!

Next time you are over there, have a look in the local grocers.

Between the kitchen cleaner and the olive oil, you will find 5 litre bottles of Macedonian Red Wine. First couple of glass fulls are a bit rough, but soon gets the merriment going wink.gif

all for just 1 Euro too!

(oh, and its between the cleaner and cooking oil for a reason - real multi purpose liquid. Can even put it in your fuel tank! wink.gif )

laugh.gif Also reminds me on the same holiday we went to Troodos mountains and got roped into buying this huge bottle of liquer/wine stuff off this market stall fella - having come away and got back to our room we realised that we were travelling back next day and had NO room in our cases...so we had to neck this whole bottle of strong liquer during the last day( i was too tight to throw it away!) - i was stoned for the trip back home!! - slept well on the plane though laugh.gif

Will DEFF look for that one Matt. Although it is exactly a year today that i will be over there and having my wedding reception meal (maybe even doing my speech ohmy.gif )

THanks to Flossies influence i've taken to rose wine and pink champagne, and returned the favour of re-introducing her to real ale.
