Hey guys,
my FRP has a TOAD alarm, and key fob, no standard key. From day 1 neither of my keys have never worked in any locks.

During the winter my battery died, meaning I was locked out until I could get the AA to get power into the system so the remote worked. I would love to get a normal Ford key which I guess means new locks.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Quite often its the fact that you never use the keys and the locks all gum up.
Try soaking in WD40, not plus gas as its water based.
You should be able to lock the car as ANY key will lock the door but only the correct one will unlock.

What doesn't work? I assume you have ignition?

Tried that Graham, tried that before I called the AA.

Key works in the ignition.

It's just that the keys dont work in the door lock. I have to use the aftermarket fob to unlock/disarm the car.

So you're going to keep the remote off the alarm, just want a way in?

Does just sound seized because its not in use.

I've got lock sets which would sort that, replace the boot and ignition as well and you wouldn't end up with different keys for different jobs but a good clean may also sort it out.

Just make sure you use them peridocally after that point to keep them moving.
