New plugs iridium ITv16s leads new oil filter and a new genuine Ford HCV - forgot to get oil (duh) wrong leads from Euro car parts Kingston correct ends but miles too long - very odd -old heater control valve seems ok but does go flakey every now and then as all cheap ones do new wiper blades Spacers have arrived for my ST150 280mm brakes so I went to find my friend John who works for a large tyre fitting chain ( you know the one) and he's on holiday and he's the only one I trust to fit them and new goodridge braided hoses - went to collect my Clio which had a service and the emissions light is on arghhhh Never mind have the black puma to run around in which is very nice but didn't want to put too many miles on it as I am selling it (brother in law bought my Saab instead) and I spent ages cleaning it (see ad in for sale section)

I replaced my hcv as a just in case as the old one was old. Good luck selling the black one.

Went to Euro parts Isleworth and I had the same problem - they gave me the same wrong leads - ended up going to dagenham motors or whatever they call themselves now to get the genuine expensive leads - £70 - at least they fitFew bits of trim and driver door mirror motors out of the old Melina Blue one when I get a chance Clio still in the garage (waiting for the lambda sensors to be fitted and brakes - how long?????????) so still flying around in the black one (which I'm still trying to sell!?!?!?!) which is great as it has the coldest airconditioning of any of my cars - proper hypothermia

thankfully the leads last ages I think (though at that price could have got magnecor maybe) depending on price, condition and location there is a member on here who might shortly be on the look out for one, though I guess you have an add up.

Yes should have bought Magnecor leads perhaps but I suspect the new leads will make some difference - the old ones were originals i am sure and looked old, brittle and crusty or is that mePosted Image

Need to get a few bits of trim swapped over and my mate John back from his hols and I can fit my ST150 280mm brakes - i hope they make a difference as the black beauty has brand new 260mm discs and pads (admittedly standard ones) and its only slightly better - might be they only have a 150 miles on them or so and only local driving??

Then I need to find a leather interior for the green one - one thing that is so nice about the black one is its leather interior - the green one is a bit scabby - seats are a bit dirty

Had the rear bumper re-fixed on its clips as it was slightly loose/miss-aligned and then was going to pick her up when I discovered I have less than a week left on the MOT

Back in the garage then

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

There is a leather set on the site but if I had the choice it would be the milly interior for the brilliant seats, could see if Ian G has a set.
At least you spotted it :)

Failed on arb bushes and rear brakes - cant be bothered and havent got time to do them so left it with the garage to sort - leather seats and bigger discs will have to wait

Gear Knob have you tried buff polishing it with say AutoSol, or even a Dremmel.
