Talk to me boys ad girls, sorted the niggly bits on the car that needed done, time to replace my dented manifold before it forces me to!

Pumabuild have the 2 which is fine, anything else? I actually run a decat so any joining issues won't be a problem to me.

Do the MK5 ZS aftermarket Mani's and the aftermarket 1.7 Manifolds work the same, as in the fitment to the rear of the engine?

I could be wrong but I don't think a Puma manifold has the same bore for the final out pipe join so make sure to get the right manifold to go with the rest of your FRP centre section.
Personally make sure you get a manifold that you can fit the heat shield onto.
The Piper kit looks good, just make sure you can fit a heat shield.

Ah good point Kat. Thanks for that, I liked the look of the piper one might actually last compared with the Ford OE one.

Does the piper one have mounting points for heatshield?

I keep seeing some stainless ones popping up on eBay. Anyone know if they are any good?

They look like a cheap fix. With the hassle of fitting one I don't fancy doing it twice.

£300 for a decent one. I'll need to raid the piggy bank!

Looking in their shop image that has heat shield boses on the manifold to me, but you could always ring and ask :)

I was going to inquire anyway Kat thanks.

A guide anywhere for fitting one? My Brother and Dad are both Ford Master Technicians but I know it's a difficult part to fit.

What was the difference of the MkII or was it just my flogging to get the boses on it?
