laugh.gif what a coincidence Matt - I ordered a Manfrotto 055CF3 and exactly the same 3-way head as you this morning!

btw I also ordered to padded bag to go with it!

by bag I mean carrying case, you understand...

Its a cracking bit of kit Ben. Was looking at geared head but was overkill for what I need.

Very well made bit of kit. Bag going on order this weekend

well thank you, Sir!

I did not bother with a geared head - totally unnecessary for the things I want it for; I did look at the 808 head though - it is a lot heavier and although it will support a greater weight I do not think it likely I would need to support more than 4 kg.

Sadly the tripod/head/case was only a relatively small part of the total order. What I have ordered to go on top is what is really costing the money!

How sad are we that we are talking about tripod heads.....?

Spill the beans then, what else you ordered?

Last lens was a present, and dont think I'll by buying another one just yet wink.gif

Did think i was going to have to buy a new camera the other day, thought the Minolta had the dreaded firmware delete syndrome, turned out the battery was flat roflmao.gif

Found out the hard way that if you leave the camera connected to PC with USB lead that the auto shutdown is over ridden

nah spending £100 on a lens is fine... it's just 'justifying' spending £100 or more on a lens, when I don't really NEED it, that takes a bit more doing wink.gif
