Went down to my tyre bloke at lunch to get a quote for two new 205-45-17s. All festivities may have to be cancelled till the end of the month!! Anyone else bought any 17" tyres recently? How much? Cheapest I've heard of so far is E105 each.

I think I'll go for 16"s!!

F1's are £70 or so and Yokohamas are under £50 for 195/45/16's

Cant afford the 18"s on the TT and 17"s on the Puma :cry2:

195-45-16s will give just as harsh a ride as 205-40-17s, as the wall height on the tyre will be similar. (the middle figure is not a measurement in mm, but a percentage of the width). You might be better off with 195-50-16 if you don't want to lose any of the "comfort" afforded by a larger profile.

I cant decide on 16 or 17 inch alloys  :derr:

It will be lowered 30mm with Eibach springs, but from pics I've seen 16"s look a tad small, 17"s look a tad big

I really dont want to hurt the handling so its has to be 16"s, right  :derr:

:help:

Go for 16" OZ Super Leggeras but don't go for the dark ones or else they'll look tiny.
