Okay guys and gals,

Firstly, apologies for a long email, but it has to be done! Back in June, I organised the 1st Big SX Meet Go-Karting event. It was a huge success and those that attended were keen for me to organise a second event before year end ja_cool.gif so here are the details ........

Rayleigh Karting Stadium, Saturday 15 November 2003, meeting Festival Leisure Park 13:00 hours and departing 13:15 hours, ready to go-kart at 14:00 hours. The karting centre has penciled us in for the above date. I am to get back to them 1st September, if not before to let them know how I am doing numbers wise. I will start collecting deposits from you end September.

As before, there will be no pub lunch as part of this day. It will be an evening meal instead (Harvester Rayleigh Weir already booked for us at 18:00 hours) - there is a snack bar at the venue serving food and drink for those of you who won't have already eaten.

At the moment I have allocated space for 20 people ONLY, so it will be very much a first come, first served basis, with priority given to those of you who attended in June 8) Please let me know if you want to come karting and/or for the evening meal as well and whether you will be coming alone or with a partner/friend. Spectators welcome at the karting stadium at no extra cost.

There is a cost involved. The karting session is Formula 2 Grand Prix and costs £38 per person. A £20 non refundable deposit will be needed per person to secure your place. Nearer the time, I will let you know my address for sending the cheques to - cheques to be made payable to Rayleigh Karting Limited and I will get an overall receipt for everyone nearer the time. The lady at the stadium said, please ensure bankers card guarantee number on the back of your cheque. The process worked well before and several also rung the karting stadium direct and paid over the phone by credit card.

So what do I get for my money you ask?

Well, the F2 Grand Prix includes:

6 heats (all drivers) (5 laps)
Final top 8 drivers (10 laps)
Trophies to top drivers.
Prices include VAT
Guaranteed exclusive racing (we only race against our own group)
Full race suit hire (you can bring your own crash helmet if you have one)
Video Rules and Regulations Briefing
Practice Laps
Race Directors Final Briefing
Computer Print Outs of race points
Pit Stop Bar open after racing only
They organise who races who for what heat over 6 heats each!!!
We can also choose to have our group photo taken which costs £3 for A5 or £5 for A4, but knowing us lot, there'll be plenty of digital cameras so it won't cost us a thing

A minimum of 12 drivers is needed for an F2 Grand Prix.

I rung the karting stadium yesterday to give them an idea of numbers interested in coming along to this meet. At present 20 places are provisionally booked, but they are now requiring deposit money.

In order for us to be able to go, we need 12 people, which I think we have now secured:

1) Me!
2) Kevin
3) Dee
4) Chris
5) Colin
6) Darren
7) Laura
8.) Paul
9) Jackie
10) Simon
11) Clare
12) Scott

There are two ways to pay - cheque to me or phone direct with them. I will get an overall receipt for everyone nearer the time.

1) Send me your cheque for ?20 made payable to Rayleigh Karting Limited (PM me for my home address). The lady at the stadium said, please ensure bankers card guarantee number on the back of your cheque.

2) Ring the karting stadium direct, tell them you have a payment to make for an F2 meet on 15 November under the name of Yvonne and they will take your payment by card over the phone. Please PM to let me know if this is what you have done, so I can keep track of who has and hasn't paid. Thanks.

That means there are potentially 8 more places to be filled, so please let me know if you are interested in coming along. The more the merrier.

There are still a few places available on the go-karting meet if you want to come along, BUT a deposit is required please. All details are in the emails on these pages. At present 15 places are on hold and we have 14 definites so far and a possible 15th. I have been told we could stretch to 18 of us, but deposits are required. We also have an evening meal booked for after the karting experience!
