Would be massivley complicated, nay impossible, but there are much faster 2.0 engines out there. Impretza, civic type r, evo etc.
Out of interest any body know how much that turbo cost to put in the 1.7?

to be honest- there were all those cossie's and rs turbo's racing around the track, they sounded great and made it fun to watch by sliding around the corners, but, there were exiges (just fettled elises) flying around the track, not making messes of the corners and were probably one of the fastest things all day. dont like them to look at but amazing to drive. saw some doing cossie's on the outside, just a thought! you dont need power if you can drive.

if you want to you would have plenty of spare cash to play with the engine..ie ITBs, cams.etc etc
would be so cheaper and just as much fun as a sorted puma

A nice all alloy modern V8 maybe.
A st220 V6 engine would be nice as the cougar engine ain't that great, althoutgh any V6 torque would be better than none!!
Would have to be more comfy cruiser type of car rather than B-road blaster.

Not the first time you didnt, and it was on the back of the original WIP from Toby and the TNB that I first went to SVM
BUT, I'm glad that both of your beasts were sorted properly external to that wonderful establishment

I think Lisa was referring to the second conversion... but yeah , I suppose after spening a lot of money on such a conversion you don't/cant believe how bad a job could be done.
If only foresight could have the same 20/20 vision as hindsight
Stop being spoon fed and GOOGLE it!

Had to laugh at the weekend, poor Warren was experiencing the same frustration as I went through for 4 years, but I think with a proper set up with a decent map to suit the engine he will have a cracking car

Not easily!!!
If you have the engineering skill you can fit a cosworth block in the wrong way so a transverse v6 should be possible. Would be easy peasy if you spaceframe the front end.
Ain't going to be cheap to do though.......

Offers significant advantages for motorsport as you can undo entire front bodywork as easily as the bonnet.
