It's a lovely FRP, and she has now been treated to 4 new P7000s (Leigh Tyres, £270 all in  )..... she is being introduced to my girlfiend tomorrow, whom I sure will dislike it as much as Nick's did!!!

Thanks to Pumabuild and Nick for sorting out the brakes before I picked her up 10.gif .... not sure if my wallet would have coped!

Have fun with the VX220 Nick, speak to the rest of you soon I'm sure!

Are they the dodgy non-E-marked tyres???

Alan from PumaBuild was going to buy these but found out they not for the UK market and shouldn't be sold in the UK...

See here for more info

Hopefully they're not but just thought I'd mention this...

Ooops, bit dark outside to check now... what should I be looking for on the tyrewall exactly? What are the implications of using these over the non- emarked ones....

Perhaps not the best start I could have hoped for :cry2:

Note to self: must consult the forum before buying anything

if they are these ones, then you might be able to send them back to Leigh Tyres... :?

Welcome too smile.gif and enjoy biggrin.gif (I'm sure you already know, but taken care in the wet with your FRP)
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Neugy,
You'll be looking for an "E" in a round circle somewhere on the sidewall of the tyre... it'll be quite small.

The implications are unknown.... tyres are E-marked for a reason... if they're non-E-marked they're simply not good enough for this country as tyre manufacturers make different grades of tyres for different markets...

Have a look at let us know what they are...

If they're not E marked then I feel a call to trading standards coming on.

Maybe a call to Pirrelli might shed some light on this too...

PS... I'm just down the road to you in Basildon... look forward to meeting you at a meet sometime and welcome to the club biggrin.gif

Leigh Tyres will refund you if they are the non E-marked P7000's. I just sent a set back and got my money back.

I wonder if there was enough demand they would make us some P7000's...

Say 50 sets which is 200 tyres...??? £100/tyre that's £20k... it worth asking them wink.gif
