hey all, I live just outside sheffield. I recently quit my terrible job in the motor trade, so lost my company car. Not got any savings, as I never needed them before. So I'm on the look out for a real cheap 1.7 first and foremost as a run around. I'm joining the armed forces in a couple of months, and need a car to put me on till then, and as long as it's a good shell will get treated very very well in the near future.

My previous cars include a nearly new mr2 turbo, a bmw z3 roadster, mk4 Fiesta (highly modified 15k+), Mazda mx-3 (fairly highly modified 10k+). I have been a little bit unlucky with these in the past.

I'm a bit of a grease monkey and love doing alot of work on cars. I was going to buy a ford probe but for not much more I can pick up a Puma in the current financial climate.

So just wanted to say hi, and should have picked up a car in the next few weeks hopefully. Oh and if anyone needs to get shut I'm looking for 3-4 months mot and mechanically sound. the rest of the car is pretty much how i choose girl friends, I'm not fussy - biggrin.gif

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

hey thanks for all the welcome's. I live on the border of chapletown in sheff.

didn't expect finding a car on here really. Looking more towards t-bay, I really don't mind dropping a new engine in after a couple of months. I love tinkering around with cars.

i've seen some cam's, big brakes, superchip and a few other bits and bobs. Definately need a nice rolling shell.

We're on the same side of the city. If you get one you'll have to come to the Sheffield meet in September
