Hi all,

As you can definately tell by the title, im not an expert when it comes to car mechanics. Last time I had my Cat serviced (couple of months back) the garage told me that I had a crack in one of my front suspension bushels, I think he said. He told me that its nothing to worry about at the moment, but in a couple of months it would need to be sorted, requiring one of the front shock arms to be replaced.

I find this very strange when my cat has only dun 34K and I dont exactly drive it that hard (but roads around by me are quite ropey!). Is this serious? Should I get it sorted immediately?

Also i know my discs and pads need renewing, over the last few days the handbrake light has been coming on (intermitantly) when I brake quite hard. The manual says that this could be low brake fluid or one of the brake circuits has failed (WORRY!). Have checked brake fluid and its fine. I thought this was just a warning light saying that my pads are low, any ideas??? Sorry for the essay

Cheers,
Ceri :?

I haven't checked the Puma handbook myself so cannot be certain but do the brake pads have wear sensors fitted that activates the handbrake light?

Thanks all, glad its definately not the brake circuit, would have been very worried in terms of cash!

Think its a trip to the garage for me! Anyone know what im on about with the front shock bushel??? Been thinking about uprating the discs, pads and callipers, so my credit card is gonna take a hiding by the looks of it!!!

Debt card, you mean :? No such thing as a "credit card" unless you pay the balance off each month.

Nasty, nasty, nasty things...

I'm a student so i've got three of the little b*ggers!!! One of them should be renamed the "Puma Debt Card" as all it ever wants to do is force me to spend more money on me cat (or Wendy, the hairdresser's car as my mates affectionately call her  )!!!
