Does anyone know what is the best way to take apart the clear acrylic from the black ABS plastic (going to mod them silver) ? i dont know what they used to seal them together. Also would appreciate it if anyone can suggest what to seal them back with.

In a similar way to the rears, a hair dryer and a lot of patience or a dremel and a steady hand. Might be an idea to get a spare pair first.

Hot glue gun or the black tar-like bondy stuff to put them back together (make sure they are airtight else condensation will built up big time)

Simon Fagg's puma had silver ones and it looked good. Would look strange on a green car IMHO

yup might look weird. but any how i need to opent the rear to get the yellow lens out to change it into a clear on (i have bought 2 spares for the rear so i have to open 4 rear pods to take out/put in the clear lens to replace the yellow ones.

Front modules are too expensive to purchase. even PumaBuild sells the plastic itself for 112 quids.

Kind of agree with Dan, I'm all for modding, but I dont think the silver would work on the Green, its too dark a colour.

They often come up on ebay and sell for approx £30 each.

The headlamp comes as two units, the outer casing which is the polycarb lens cover and the Cats paw black plastic (have a look at claw marks if you dont believe me wink.gif ) and the main assembly containing the bulbs and motor. This is held to the outer casing by a few plastc clips. (Not to be confused with the cover that allows you to change the bulbs)

(edited cos i misread Elvins last message)

Actually the rear will look like you have Lexus Lights...
S*** LRX, usually belting between Dover and Maidstone by any means except the M20

Weitec GT Coilovers, Powerflex bushes, Milltek full FRP exhaust, 280mm front brakes
Low slung, taught, powerful and stops on a dime.

its a motha to to do, the first one was the most difficult, the second one was pretty easy, carved out as much stuff as I could then started to split it at the top corner of the lense, wedged a normal eating knife in and worked it a bit till I got enough levarage against the silicone, then it all slowly ripped away

I'd also recommend a heat gun or hair dryer too but be careful not to heat up one point for too long as i feel it will delaminate the plastic.

A little scared of using the knife and if it slips... fingers will fly and blood vessels will spray blood (happened before on me) good thing i didnt cut my fingers or blood vessels. just did a 3mm deep cut along my fingers for length of 2 cm.
