1962 Morris Minor 1000 - Project Complete

To cut a long story short I've been restoring my mates Morris for the last week or so (as I refuse to touch my puma untill the damage is repaired) and had to fit it working on it when a) whenever he could get a parking space below my flat and whenever he wasnt using it.
The condition of the entire car was a dreadful right down to growing moss in the gaps between the panels. The Paint was extremely dull and had no reflection what-so-ever even you put your hand a mm from it you got nothing back, it looked like blue mud and so rough it actual hurt when you ran your finger along it, no joke.
Example of the paint before:
Anyway.. the project lasted 4 days in total, it took 250ml of tardis, 2 clay bars, loads of APC, lots of washing and whole shed-load of polishing.
Main details -
Polish I used was Menz 203s on a heavy polishing pad, refined with 85RE on a finishing pad, because of the curvy nature of the panels many area had to be polished by hand which is where the 203s came in very useful, glazed Megs #7, waxed Megs #16, 16 really worked well on the single-stage paint, just like always had to be so careful putting it on thinnly as possible or the buffing is a nightmare. Megs Gel for tyre walls and other rubber bits, FG for glass, Autosol for metal bits, think thats about it...
It gave me such pleasure bringing a classic back to life and I've never had so many comments esp from the older generation, one women even said she was born in the back of one just like it! lol.
Enjoy, comments welcome.

Looks a fabulous transformation
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
