Should this happen you decide Alan is up for it........

FQ Turbo Puma vs M1FRP at Bruntingthorpe, they could have a set course timed of course, and a timed 0-60, 0-100, quarter mile and top speed cool.gif

This way both parties will have time to learn the set course and then theres the straight line rubbish wink.gif

Ok, don't tell anyone else. wink.gif Get a pen and paper handy as you will need to jot all this down. As most of you know, I'm a qualified Aerospace Engineer and I have many years of experiance working within Ford Dealers, and after many months of looking at the Puma's technical design, I have possibly discovered a way to expolit the standard Puma's (both 1.4, 1.6, and 1.7i) performance to a level far beyond that expected in 1997.

Firstly before completing the modifications, I advise it is sensible to uprate your braking system to a level to cope with the expected increase in performance. For this I would at least recomend a ST170 set-up.

What I am going suggest, according to my calculations, would easly allow a standard Puma to increase it's acceleration and top speed beyond that of the FQ Puma and the FRP RS, possibly even beyond that of the Gould Puma. wink.gif

The first part of the process is to visit you local Ford Dealer and ask them to look in the Accessories Section of their 'ECat' Parts System. Ask them to find the 'Roof Rack' Kit that is available for the Ford Puma 97 - 01. (this part was still available when I check last week, but secondhand ones can be found on eBay)

Once fiited to your vehicle, then visit you nearest United States Air Force station (RAF Lakenheath in East Angila, or RAF Fairford in the West Country). Ask their Stores Department for a JATO device.

The JATO then needs to be fitted to the Roof Rack via clamps, cable ties, or other suitable fixings.

Once the JATO is activated, it will provide your Puma with a spritely level of acceleration. It case anyone thinks this is dubious in anyway, this method has been tested independantly in an experiment conducted in the US.

Please see this link for full details of the modifaction's success in improving power output. wink.gif

This was a Darwin Award winner in 1995, but was later discovered to be an Urban Legend. Read the original entry here, and check out the rest of the site for more amazingly stupid ways off killing yourself!
