1/4 Mile Time For A 1.7 Puma?

as above i ran my pumad fez down a strip yesterday and i just wanted to compare the standard time of the 1.7 puma to the time i got to see how it compares? biggrin.gif does anyone know what it is?

Ford claim 8.8 sec in original brochure.

7.9 sec for the FRP.

Yes, thats the 0-60. Having searched everywhere I can think of, thats all there seems to be officially available for performance. I guess you need to either see what your 0-60 is to compare, or maybe somebody on here will/has put theirs on the 1/4 mile.

I know it aint a 1/4 mile but both my pumas have been at least 1 sec below the official stated time for 0-60! smile.gif

i got a 17.4 on my fastest run which i think is a little slow....so far iv found 3 figures...16.8, 17.2 and 17.8 so at least im somewhere in the midle lol

I used to put my ZS up the strip at Santa pod and i usually got 16.4 so i'd hoep my Puma would beat that.

I would say you car is spot on ... don't forget the puma is heavier than a fiesta it has a torque limiter. Speed down to the strip is all about power to weight ratio and traction.

plus a different driver and a different set of tyres on your car could produce a faster (or slower) time too
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
