The only alloys I think look right are propellors or FRP style. If you've lowered springs and are fitting 17 inch wheels to your standard Pum', put FRP style wheels on. Otherwise leave the propellors on. If you've got the year 2000 style wheels on your Pum', swop 'em. They look terrible. They belong on a '98 Escort.

By multi spoke wheels, you mean the 9 spoke ones, introduced on 2000 pumas (and milli)

Also, your forgetting the F1 style wheel that was available as an option from 2000 onwards and came as standard on the puma thunder.

IMO, the 9 spoke look nicer then the prop style alloys. This was actually the reason I brought a W-reg as opposed to a V-reg when both where about the same price in the garage.

The FRP ones are unavailable to any standard member unless someone can find a written off FRP or have contacts in Ford Racing. Theres an uncanny look alike from the OZ Super-Ts that quite a few people have opted for and they do look very nice!

IIRC the FRP rims have the wrong offset for a std Puma

F1 alloys off a puma black look good for the money. I am biased though having them on my melina.

Quite right...put them on and they stick out about 3 inches from your std arches!

I wanted propellors also, so went for an older model with them, think they suit the car the best

Probably difficult to be impartial on this one as most of us either own one or the other.

Owning a '98 Puma, I have the older propellor style and I do like them - they suit the car very well. When I see the newer syle alloy on the Puma I am never quite sure if they look right or not.

I think in both cases though that the standard 15" wheels are a bit 2 small for the car - the various photos in the Album of Pumas with 17's fill out the arches so much better. Having said that, I will live with my standard ones

Personally I think too many puma's already have multispoke rims so they begin to look like they are standard with the car (especially that FPR have them as standard) e.g. OZ Supertourisms, thats why I went for mille miglia evo 5, five spoke rims. They look just as good, I suppose its down to personal taste. Not knocking multispokes though, they still look good.

I like the props and I like the 9 spokes on mine. The props always make me think of the wheels you used to get on Matchbox cars in the 70's.

But hmm yes a set of classy 3 spokes now you are talking, or maybe a nice set of 13" deep dish Venoms?

I think the Propellor wheels look better than the Nine spokes but do like the OZ SuperT's though. The multi spokes on the Fiesta Zetec S are nice - seen some on a couple of pumas - is that a limited edition?

Does anyone know if the wheels of the Escort Cosworth would fit a puma as they would look amazing 8) .

Also which wheel manufacturer makes alloys that look identical to the FRP's - is it ATP or something/one like that?

Having said that ford should have made the propellor wheels 16 or 17 inch in the first play. Now that would have looked the dogs danglies!
