Im thinking about updating the standard alloys on my 98' kat and was wondering how big you can go without any arch mods and still look good , i like the Super T's but what size ?????

You can probably go 17s without mods.

But it will look like a jacked up super truck without lowering it.

Then if you lower it it will probably rub the inner arch on full lock.

You'll potentially get a harsher ride.

Super Ts are very smart. Good choice.

16s without arch mods i reckon.

:yell: But more individual than 17's, hope that don't start a trend for 16's cos I'm gonna go that route soon.

I'm with the 16s on this one. I need full lock to get in and out of the driveway so a steering limiter is out of the question. OK so they don't look quite as good but no mods needed!

Personally, I like the 'OZ Supertourismo' or 'Ronal Design R38'.

Personally I dont think it is worth spending all that money on 16's, you may as well keep your standard alloys. There is hardly any difference between the size of 15's and 16's. If your gona go through the hassle of changing your wheels do it properly and get 17's. Even if slight mods are needed.

If you do buy there that nothing else ends being attached to the car- Halfords accessories are a bit infamous! laugh.gif

sorry mate but that is balony, 17's go straight on a kat! I got mine evo 5 17's fitted at topgear 2 days ago, they are fine. £752 for 16's is laughable, that is the sort of price you should be paying for 17's!

Yep, I've been told that 17s go straight on though when you lower 30mm it will need some minor mods to inner wing. Micheldever tyres near Winchester want £638 for Wolfrace Spirits all in with Falken tyres - seems reasonable to me so prob gona go for it.

Just thought i would point this out, the offset on a FRP wheel is no good for a standard Puma they will stick out past the wheel arch and look pants, good price for FRP wheels though smile.gif
