As some of you may have guessed, or known, there was a recent trip over to the nurburging involving people who frequent this forum and another similar one

For the petrolheads on here I thought I might as well post some pictures and a link to the gallery just in case anyone is interested in some of the sights spotted over there. As you can imagine, even just the carpark at that place is a petrolheads wet dream although there were some machines there which were a bit out or the ordinary too

Did you see the orange BMW Z3 that caught fire by the roundabout on the public entrance?

nope, didn't realise that had happened. was that while we were there?

My boss was there over the weekend with some of his friends on their bikes and saw an orange one catch fire just outside the entrance. The road was closed as the fire brigade came to put it out. He showed me the pictures today. He had a great time too and back again for the World Superbikes race later in the year.

lol, no, didn't see any of that, but then again on both days we had a couple of hours away from the track at least so easy to miss it.

we did see a very unfortunate guy in a honda S2000 break down about 50 yards from the exit back into the paddock/car park. I believe it's 500 euros a tow however far it is so it was a very expensive 50 yards for him lol

LOL I didnt see it but Paul (yippekiay) saw it and videod it.. nasty indeed from what I saw on the vids OUCH!

It was MINT mate!!

and not too expensive either.... I took 450 euros with me (400quids worth) and still came back with 50 quid and thats including petrol

didnt time any of the laps but the 2nd one felt fairly quick, tyres squealing and lots of fun

IMO I believe it only becomes expensive if you drive like an idiot... crash or breakdown..... then you get raped!
