Yes an open window increaes fuel consumption.
To be most effcient run the heater on hot (no fan), close the windows and do not use A/C.

make sure you use your aircon regularly, I was told to do this weekly. If it isn't used then the seals and pump deteriorate fast and are very expensive to repair, so I have been told.

Hey

rather than starting a new thread I'll just ask this here, hopefully someone can help me out.

So I have established that my sunroof was an added extra, fitted by a ford dealer.

Now I'm wondering what is the story with this in relation to insurance. Is this a modification that I have to declare to them? Should it be on my log book? Because it's not. Anyone with specific knowledge of the Irish market would be great.

As it is not performance enhancing, and is unlikely to make the car more desirable to thieves, you shouldn't have anything to worry about, however it is better safe than sorry, so you should probably inform them.

I know but I was actually thinking in terms of windscreen cover - I don't think they would be happy to pay out for it if they didn't even know it was there.

Sorry for the huge bump (figured I'd do a search before starting a new thread) but here's a pic of my sunroof 1.7 Puma. Was dealer fitted.

I've seen pictures of the interior of that silver one (believe it belonged to someone called Hotrod or something).

Other than the silver one and mine I've never seen another sunroofed Puma.

Mine is a little different and to be honest much better fit. Doesn't leak or anything and even though I have AC it's a nice edition and I use it a lot.

Looks pretty OK :-) the Ka sunroof should be a good as same roof profile and that looks like the Ka one.
