Would someone be good enough to pop out to their car with a ruler and measure the size of the ashtray. I need the size of the bit where the ash and butts go . Ive lost mine, as I removed it when I fitted my scangauge unit. But that's gone now and I want to fit all my nitrous control and purge button etc in there. I have the buttons here at work with me and some nice black perspex ready. Thanks.

On my 2001 1.7 lux the outer ashtray flap is 165mm x 80mm while the inner butt receptacle is only 60mm x 90mm. Hope this helps.

I have been trough the shed tonight, found loads of stuff I didn't know I had. Lots of MK2 Escort bits which can go on Ebay.
But no ashtray. So I will pop up a scrap yard on Monday. I have 4 within 10 miles.

One of the breakers I use has a new yard at Westbury, about 10 miles away.
Its massive :) All cars in concrete and nothing stacked.
Plus you can get doors and bonnets open easily.

I picked up a mint ashtray with lighter integral, a blanking fascia out of a Fiesta like I had my scangauge mounted in and a brake reservoir cap with level switch for £5 all in.
I might go back for a Fiesta steering wheel I saw. It was all leather but was half blue like the FRP wheels.
