Summary of observations:
ST170 brakes, NO Alcons! (you're looking at the best part of a grand to restore the original brakes right off the bat)
Damaged Front Splitter (about £100 if you can find one - replicas are available)
Both front wings are damaged (more detail about this in ebay link below)
Very badly damaged passenger rear wing (inline with the centre of the rear wheel, just below the rear window)
Rear bumper had a crack by passenger rear wheel
Bungs in tailgate from EVO spoiler removal
The passenger wishbone is bent and the wheel is pushed towards the rear of the car (Not a massive amount, but is noticeable)
Car park dent in driver side door
Has an oil leak, looks like it could be the crank seal
The Exhaust is not a Milltek like stated
Last documented evidence of cambelt change was 2005
MOT Advisories; Front suspension top mounts, front N/S wheel bearing and rear axle bushes
Missing rear bumper trims/spats

Bodywork:
The panels are no good (especially the tailgate which has big holes and bungs in it where a comedy spoiler once was). Bent, chips and dents all over. Not too rusty, though - big plus.
Interior:
The interior is average - but you may as well find a set of better ones on eBay for the cost of retrimming and sourcing the alcantara. Probably saleable on eBay. Steering wheel isn't too bad as far as FRP steering wheels go.
Gearbox/clutch:
This might be OK, but the clutch is definitely non-standard. Gearbox may or may not be original with shot-peened first and second; given the other shoddy replacements I imagine it isn't.
Engine:
The engine has an oil leak. Not the original engine as it appeared to have two HEGOs (the FRP originally only ever had one); I suspect it's a standard block/ECU with the original numbered inlet manifold tacked on
The cambelt needs doing.
Had a new driveshaft at some point - christ knows what's been bodged in there; may or may not have something to do with the oil leak mentioned above
Exhaust:
The exhaust is Powerflow I think, not Milltek
Wheels/suspension:
The wheels need redoing as although they have been powder coated they're not the right colour and it's not a brilliant job.
Bonky ST170 brakes need replacing with proper four-pot Alcons
Needs top mounts, bushes, wishbones, wheel bearing.
Headlights/rear lights are alright - would come up nice with a good polish.
The only thing it's good for in my opinion is a daily driver til it dies or a track car project in which case you'd probably be throwing most of it away for weight saving and tinkering with what's left anyway. The amount it would cost to get it up to scratch would buy you a perfect example.
It needs a lot more doing than the photos and description tell. If you're buying it for a bit of fun - go and see it in person, look out for the issues mentioned above, don't offer him anywhere near the asking price, sling it around a few tracks then break it. If you always wanted an FRP and wanted to lovingly restore it - I promise you this isn't the FRP for you; it will break your heart!

What's it going for this time round? The previous owner was trying to shift it for 2750, but it somehow ended up going on eBay for 3800ish.
If you could get it for around the 2grand mark it might be worth having a punt and doing it up. Big project though!

I wouldn't even give him that after all the things you said about the car. Looks great in the pictures but then again they always do. I don't mind buying another frp to use as a daily runaround it's my intention to do so.
I miss driving my FRP which is currently being stored but I don't want to use it as a daily runaround.
I am looking for another frp thats done under 40,000 miles with no rust I don't mind replacing or repair some things that need doing to get it up to scratch or near scratch but not after major after major. Would probably cost me about 20k to get it perfect. and thats all the things you know about the car and what about the rest and I am very pernickety. And I don't want to spend anywhere near that. The FRP I see for sale the now all seem abit crappy

I'm assuming it was semi-stripped then re-built using not-quite FRP components?
