After consulting with Jacko over a date we could both do to organise the next Leicester meet, we have settled on Saturday 21 March.

Start will be at The Harvester, Ashby Road, Loughborough, LE11 4EX; time 12.00 midday

the meet route (total 50 miles) is available as a Word file (a downloadable version of both the route in Word and maps are available from the first post about this meet on the 'other' site)

following discussions with interested parties we will end with a meal at the Noodle Bar for those who wish to eat at the end of the day (this should keep the cost down)

if you wish to go to the meal at the end of the day at the Noodle Bar, please PM me so I can book numbers in; thanks (this is not essential, but will enable me to give the restaurant numbers)

NOODLE BAR NOW BOOKED, THOUGH I CAN CHANGE NUMBERS

Further details will follow, but any information and updates will appear on this post (ie no. 1 on this thread).

You only need to say you are coming on this OR the other site; there is no need to say you are coming on both - Jacko and I will talk about you laugh.gif and maintain lists on both sites.

I think I'm free on that date at the moment so with any luck I should be there.

Which restaurant are we going to use this time? wink.gif stickpoke.gif

I found out why it was shut - something to do with having served under-age drinkers!

oh dear. naughty naughty.

are they back open now or not? then again the place we ended up in was pretty good anyway. decent price and decent tasting food. Well, I know my squid was, although I can't comment on any of the other thigns which people had. Didn't hear any complaints though smile.gif

One of the best places for food in Leicstershire is the Hunting lodge in Barrow-upon-soar.
The food there is very reasonable and amazing.
Ive been in top London restaurants and the food hasn't been as good as there (And no i don't work for them)

do peeps want me to investigate eating there?

strikes me we have choices - Noodle Bar (cheap and plentiful), My Chans (not as cheap and not as plentiful but is where er ended up last time), or Hunting Lodge (nice food as Dave says, likely to be about the same price as Mr Chans - but they have their own car park so no cost incurred there!)

*methinks Dave might have a vested interest - do you live within walking distance round the corner? wink.gif *

edit: I am looking at these venues as a finishing point - in all probability we will start at the Harvester on the Ashby Road as it is easy for people to find from the M1
