Hi guys, do we have any photos of pumas with Eibach pro-kit lowering springs? (Ideally on 15/16" wheels)

Hello all,

Is there anyone who can show these please as I too am considering using these on my Puma. Alternatively if anyone has them fitted can they advise on their effectiveness?

Thanks
GF

I can remember people commenting very favourably on these in the past...

you'll have to use the search facility to find it though..

Hi Chris,

I have seen some pics on Google and also read that Ford offered these springs as an option on the Puma. If so, do you know if there was a specific size or lowering distance they advise to keep within recommended safe parameters? I have just put new 15" black alloys on and my garage have mentioned lowering it now, but I DO NOT want the boy racer look!! Posted Image

She is going into the body shop in 3 weeks to remove and cure small rust spots that are starting to appear and repair small dings (thanks to inconsiderate shoppers/others) before being completely resprayed, so she looks (even more) fabulous, but I am torn between keeping it Pacific green or going Jewel green which I believe to be darker and more like British racing green with a metallic touch. Would this be an accurate way of describing the JG as I've never seen an actual Puma in this colour (only pics again of those I think might be).

I've never lowered a car before so if you (or anyone else on here) can offer any advice please- especially on optimum height I would be very grateful. Currently the bottom my front grille sits 158 mm from the ground and rear wheel arch is at 642 mm measuring through the centre point.

Thanks
GF

The first post was about the eibach pro-kit which is not the same I don't think as the eibach Puma option that Ford could supply (many years ago) that lowers max 35mm.
Personally the Puma handles great on original specification I think and looks good too.

Hi Kat,

Thanks for the reply. Like yourself I agree it drives great as it is and therefore making me reluctant - It's more to do with aesthetics having changed the wheels although they have been admired as it is Posted Image

Pumabuild supply the Eibach set that lowers 20mm at front and 30mm at back, apparently Ford approved and for £150, but I will not be rushing into anything and not before checking this out with Ford.

Plus any insurance hike for changed wheels and dampers.

Cheers Yog
That's very good to know after speaking with my insurance company today and they said anything supplied by Ford is not a problem. New wheels weren't and cost me an additional sum even though they're still same size grrr! Makes it more desirable to thieves apparently meaning Ford options aren't I guess ;-)
