i m going to be replacing the disc on my racing puma soon and know that pumaspeed used to sell adaptor bracket to take a 325mm disc. does anyone know of this fitting kit or the bracket you need to allow fitment of discs. i also assume that they use focus rs discs as the are also 4 stud fitment.

I didn't think they used FRS disc as I thought it was a rotary setup
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

This system does use Focus RS discs which will aid the braking but the offset of the disc causes it to run very close to the bottom ball joint causing it to damage/melt the rubber cover fitted to the bottom balljoint.
I know what you mean Kate but the focus RS calipers are lug mount not radial mount discs fit in just the same way

Are you thinking of bell and rotors (type of disc) or
Radial Mount is the way our brembo kit mounts

so it wouldn't be a good idea to replace with frs discs. Take it the only option is to replace with standard discs and therefor assume thats why pumaspeed dont sell the kit anymore. thanks again ally

i dont doubt the alcon frp discs are good but they are bloody expensive. i can get a pair of focus rs one for 130 quid and if it also does a beta job of stopping the machine then surely it's a winner. But there is one negative now that they will melt your ball joints on your suspension arms. boo. Whats the answer? who has had this done and how much are the brackets for the calipers? thanks Ally

You get what you pay for tho, yes they are pricey , but they are a very high spec disc indeed, and a unique offset custom to the FRP.....
I wouldn't be happy with anything else....
