Hello - I'm very new here. I'm the owner of a lovely Puma Thunder, 1.7, magnum grey - which I have loved since I bought it in 2001 (51 reg). I now need to part with it (mainly because my very elderly Dad who lives with us can't get in it...and I would rather sell it to someone who would treasure it than to a 'we buy any car' type dealer. How do I go about selling it to someone and how do I work out what it's worth. It drives beautifully, has never given me any trouble, has done around 109k miles, and is a joy.
Any advice anyone can give me will be very welcome!

Thank you

Jenny

Have a look on Pistonheads Classifieds, find cars that are in what appear to be roughly the same condition as yours, price it at £250 above that and see who takes it in the local press, I'd say!

I've just bought one the same, and looked at a few others before buying it. The value of cars this old is based on their condition and history more than age or mileage, so it's difficult to guess. If yours is a one owner car with a full service history, good bodywork and no major maintenance or servicing due then you should be able to get a decent price for it. Rust has a significant influence as this is a common problem and the cost of getting a good repair job done can be high.

I have intentionally avoiding mentioning specific prices because there are too many factors to consider! Good luck with the sale.
