Catalyst remove catalyst

Hi to all. (Sorry for my english =( i am study it only few month) I'm want to remove the catalyst from puma 1.4 2000y. How can i do this ? Can i remove filling of catalyst without reprogramming ECU ? what to do with the oxygen sensor ?

You can de-cat your puma (removing catylist), without too much bother. most decat pipes will have a oxygen sensor hole in them.

Do you run a standard exhaust system?

Yes, i have a standard exhaust system, but i want to remove filling of cat (i want a little more power) and first muffler , second muffler i want to replaced by some sport-like

it's a good idea?

I wouldn't bother unless you are fitting a 4-2-1 manifold. The standard cat is close coupled to the manifold, I don't think decat pipes are even available for the standard manifold. In any event the ECU should be fine as the lambda fits before the cat.

I mean, I want to delete the content(inside) of the catalyst - сeramic cells / this, in my opinion, should reduce the resistance of exhaust. am I right?

if i wrong , tell me how can i do this correct.... but I do not want to spend a lot of money and i want to do all myself

You could do that, but I think the benefit would be limited.
