Hi all,

The Mrs broke down today and the Green Flag guy said it was the Down Pipe that had gone, can anyone advise where I can get a new one from. The cheapest option possible please its just a quick fix really as we were getting a new car in 6 months anyway.

Thanks all

PS we live Bucks.

Downpipe? Has the pipe snapped or is blowing?
Give you national exhaust fitters a ring (Kwik fit, National etc) they are quite reasonable and usually hassle free.

Turns out, as usual the breakdown dude was a complete tool. What has actually happened is that one of the spark plugs has come loose and blasted its way through the plastic engine cover. I am now off to halfrauds to get a plug spanner in a hope that the head isn't threaded !

If the head has been threaded does anyone have any advice for me on getting it fixed ?

Cheers all

Head threaded? What do you mean?
If it's just a case of a loose plug then it should just be a case of tightening back up. But how or why would the plug come loose?

he means the spark plug has stripped the thread in the head. happend to my bike, if this is the case, you would have to remove the head and have it heli-coiled.
hope this helps
