Who's up for licking the windows of some tasty metal before the winter closes in?

Pricey (but tasty) sausage and bacon butties are available on demand.

I'll be there, and Zara014 is on the list too on the FB page:

I'll be going I expect - I missed that last one but have been going to them for a few years now.

I'll be doing a run before hand too, I'm hoping Tom (Kong) from PH will do another run as he knows the roads and has done one for the last few.

As Adam said, I will be going in the FRP. Enjoyed the run out earlier in the year before it so might do that again, will probably see what the weathers going to be like first!!! :)

Heres a link to my photos so you get an idea of the mix of cars that turn up...

I might cheekily try to park up next to some of the FRPs to cause colour based cognotive dissonance. ;)

I'm up for it, with my dirty, dented monster.

Don't think it's worth cleaning it seeing as it won't be repaired by then - may as well accentuate the point that it's a daily fast-road valley hacker!

Smartphone pics up. Will drag stuff off the DSLR tomorrow, but TBH I was pissed off with some half a dozen (non internet) people flaking out on me so wasn't in the most cheery of moods, wandering around, surrounded by seriously self-important raw-raw Tarquin "worst of Pisonheads" types (if you're on PH, you know exactly the sort of boatshoe, rugger-shirt type I'm talking about...) suggesting people were cheap for not getting a GT3 rather than a GT3 RS, or the exact opposite - TFATF fans who thought that if it didn't have NOS or 22" rims it was sh1t. I heard both those phrases directly, or phrases to that effect, and it made me fear for humanity and the world of the hardcore petrolhead in general. When some kids who claims to like cars slags off a BAC Mono for not having a roof, I just wanted to bash my head against a brick wall.

Cheered up about halfway through though, when a Gallardo on straight pipes started up and made everyone with 75m of it jump out of their skin - it was louder than the F1 car - I'm not even joking

It certainly sorted out the real petrolheads from the curious oglers. Us proper car nuts got closer, the Fast and Furious fans and the casuals were a bit scared and backed off ;)

Anyway, pics:

Yu Special Wrap - it was brighter in the vinyl:

On a VX220

Found an FRP, didn't find the owner.

This was the second loudest thing there today.

This looked as good as it did earlier in the year. Lots of naked CF:

Buell bike with brakes larger than my wheel. I'm informed what's special about it is that the tank is part of the chassis, or something. Overheard that it may have been turbocharged but didn't have the inclination to hop behind the fence to find to find out.

Obligatory colour based correctness:

Anyone else turn up or did you all flake out like my numpty mates? ;)

It was a good day. Some nice motors and good to see people were allowed to have a play when leaving. I'll get some photos and videos up in a bit :) Didn't get to meet you Steven although waved when you arrived.

Alex

Did you see you wave and I think I mananged a head tip in return, but I was concentrating on not running over people walking in the road - so didn't get a good look at your face, so didn't see you afterwards for that obvious reason

And yes, carrboy, I did see your FRP, think the pics are on the DSLR - but again, no idea where anyone was so didn't seek anyone out ;)

Did anyone get a video of that Gallardo firing up and making everyone crap their pants? :roflmao:

Put a few more pics up from the SLR. Didn't get many, was too damned busy early on, put camera away, forgot to take it out once it quietened down.

This plate would be better suited on a gay mans turbo rotary coupe:

The Chavalier. Amazing.
Posted Image

Alex's FRP - which I waved at while circumnavigating chavs
Posted Image

It's yellow and a Ford so it got my attention:
Posted Image

Carrboys FRP. I was going to try to park up behind it but there was just no space without parking on the pavement, which although they're pretty laid back, they try to avoid as it messes up wheelchair users...
Posted Image

I couldn't get a decent picture of the BAC Mono as it drew a crowd like this from when I turned up (9am) till when it left whenever I was around it...
Posted Image

This was loud, the F1 car louder, and the Gallardo was the loudest thing around...
Posted Image

As promised - it was that orange. Yu've been Tango'd!
Posted Image

That's yer lot. No editing other than straightening the GTR pic, and being resized/compressed by FB...

Thanks for sharing, made my breakfast here more interesting :)
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
