Just checked out my Kat, has been lowered with 40mm Spax, and standard dampers .

Any one got experience of the lowering springs and uprated matched spax dampers, the cheaper sports type? will they be a big improvement over standard dampers as its a bit crashy at the moment.

I have the combined 40mm springs and dampers on my kat. The ride is obviously firmer and I dont find the ride crashy on all except the worst roads (especially rutted surfaces). I would certainly recommend replacing your dampers too.

Looking at some sites they say the spaxs lowers by 45mm, what do you think? is that about right?

Any problems going low, ever have to think about clearance, grounding your sump?

Looks like it will be a New years job with x-mas and hols coming up fast, will go for the spax dampers as the springs are all ready on, unless theres a better option?

Getting used to the ride and quite enjoying it biggrin.gif

My Spax kit definitely quoted as lowering 40mm. No probs with grounding and ive been over some big speed bumps - slowly though!!

Just get a bit of rubbing on full lock - no prob tho.
