Hi

i'm thinkin about takin the plunge & gettin some kind of ECU mod done!!

I've been lookin at Bluefin today. If you go direct to Superchips they're £234inc VAT & postage!!

I had a look on the Pumaspeed site & they're charging £270. So i gave them a call, spoke to Tony & asked which he thought was best. He said the FRP they do is better than the Bluefin!! Price for PS to do FRP map is £230 so not much difference!!

Anybody got any experience in either of these 2 products??

Thanks

I just typed Bluefin into the search engine - and got no results whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know there are topics/threads on this subject, so why does the search not find them????????

I got quite a few results brought up!!

Read through a few, some say good, some say bad!! mellow.gif

Now i'm, not expecting miracles as i realize you don't get as much gains as you would with a turbo car!! Like my old Evo. It had a K&N induction kit with 4" cold air feed, Walbro uprated fuel pump, 3" decat stainless exhaust system, HKS uprated turbo elbow, Ev0 9 GT actuator, NGKR Iridium plugs, HKS boost controller & an Ecutek remap, boost @ 1.45bar with 363bhp & 335lb torque!! That's 89bhp gain for a handful of mods!! aren't turbo's great!! biggrin.gif

It could've had boost upped to 1.7bar & it still would've been fine on standard internals. I wanted to play safe though!! 363bhp was nice enough to have there at teh slightest blip of the throttle good.gif

So far just induction kit with cold air feed. I'll get a performance exhaust at some point!! Possibly a set of FRP cams

Currently have an FRP ECU in my normal 1.7 and the difference is far greater than i would have EVER thought! Hitting the limiter at 7200rpm and having 1st and 2nd gear unrestricted transforms the car and makes it even greater fun to drive!
