I have the old 240 mm discs on my puma.

I want to upgrade them to bigger one. But if I'm going throug the arsle of changing caliper, disc and braided hoses, I might as well change for bigger than 260mm. (10mm is not that much more). I am thinking 280mm.
I have seen somewhere a change with V6 Mondeo disc and caliper but I don't like the idea of having to put wheel spacers.
Is there any other setup which would work? (but on the budget)

I also thought about having the Mondeo V6 calliper bracket milled by 3mm on the contact surface to accomodate the different offset disc/bracket.

Am I bonkers? :? ja_stupid.gif 19.gif
(don't need to aswer that last question  )

Important to stress getting them fitted properly. I've heard of a couple of people who have uprated their brakes only to have the ends of the brake lines pop-off on hard braking due to insufficient length of brake pipe being supplied.

Might be a good idea to source your own braided brake pipe kit before fitting to avoid this hapenning...

Also watch out with clearance around the hub if you have up-sized your wheels/rubber...

yeah, if you are going to spend a load of cash on some tasty discs and pads, then it would be silly not to uprate the brake hoses and brake fluid.

Get a much firmer brake pedal response biggrin.gif

What size are these mate!!!??

The calipers are the Billet 4 type which are quiet chunky due to having two pistons on either side of the disc instead of the single piston on the puma's original caliper. It might be possible to fit the calipers inside the 9-spoke millennium wheels but you will have to check this. I have 17" OZ-Racing superleggera MTS's fitted, even then the calipers come close. smile.gif
