In around the last year, i've probably seen 1 FRP driving marginally close to where i live, yet probably close to 10 millies.

I knew there were only 500 FRP's made, so thought there must have been many more millies.

I just read through the info and facts in the wiki and found there were only 1000 millies made. which is double the amount of FRPs....so why don't i see half the amount of FRP's as i do millies?

are you sure that all yellow pumas you've seen are millies? They did offer yellow as a standard colour too in the later years

Oh did they really?!?! sorry wasn't aware of that :) i thought the only zinc yellow pumas were millies, with the leather seats n stuff

While i have this topic open, not worth opening another for a simple query....

Anyone have a pic of this change? just out of interest i wondered what this looked like as i don't think i've seen it.

Millies are also more likely to be used day-to-day, and arguably less likely to be written off.

Are you sure? I was under the same impression as chestnutree that the only yellow Puma were the Millennium edition.

ahh thanks Rick. if it's a pic or document, your always the 1st to reply :P

I was thinking there may have been an extra "demister button". i understand what it means now. So it's the same as on mine (x reg) but with extra blower positions and a demister picture dotted around showing which to select to clear the screen quickest. i get it :D

Might be written off rebuilds that have been re-registered?

The only yellow for the UK was the Zinc Yellow Milly.
In other parts of Europe you could get a gold type coloured Puma. This paint colour was called Citrus Gold.

I've seen a Gold Puma in Solihull near to the Land Rover plant, looked to be original paintwork and it was RHD.

Saw a Ka in that colour and quite liked it, until mother said it looked the same colour as inside a babys nappy.

Oddly enough, on the Puma meets I have been on, it was often the other way round. The FRPs would always outnumber the Millies. Colin had seemingly the one and only Yellow Millie although there was a meet last year when Pink Millie came along too. I think there were still more FRPS on that run though.

Were there 1000 Milleniums made and only 500 FRPs?

would that contribute to the higher number of sightings?

On the other hand, possibly more enthusiasts bought FRPs new and kept them, compared with normal sales of Milleniums

Correct, i think total FRP numbers were 503, 7 written off in first year, including mine, probably more since.

I know there were more made as i stated in the 1st post. the point i was making was.... there were double the amount of millies made, but i see farrrr more than double the amount of millies than frp's.

Mayb people just keep them locked away for dry weekends?

Many FRPs are not daily drives and only come out on dry days :)
Meets are often high in FRPs as many long standing Puma owners changed to an FRP.
