It would be advisable, you can hire them too, so no need to buy one.

We didn't need sppring compressors when we did mine, just removed the strut complete. Not sure about fitting your coillies, but I wouldn't expect so.

no you dont. the coilovers come as a complete unit from ap and you will be able to remove the standard suspension as a complete unit too
