Track N Airfield Experience

Fancy taking my Puma for some airfield experience. Dont want track days, cos i'd be too worried about damaging the car at this stage, but airfield sounds much better cos there's nothing around for me to hit... lol.
But...
How/where do you find out about such places... preferably not a million miles away from me.
Typing things like Airfield, Car, Track, Middlesbrough, North East etc into google just gives me details of the fact that both Teesside and Newcastle airports have car parks!

Remember to check that your brakes/tyres/suspension are all in good order before going on track. The Puma is a bit soft as standard for track work, but it will still feel pretty good at 8/10s - beyond this it's a bit understeery.

Also run-of areas have to be provided as part of the circuit.

Brands is farily good in most places for run off but is tight in a few places, as is Silverstone.
I would too go with an airfield but Lee if you do come off you might end up turf cutting with the front bumper etc. so it might not be without damage but at least it wont be 'hard'.
One FRP ended up on it's side in the kitty litter at Mallory but got away without a scratch

Go on Kate, you know you want to Its only the short course this time, so things move a bit quicker.
We're off to Llandow tomorrow sprinting and another at the end of the month!

I did skid car training at an airfield too - if u ever get the chance - do it do it do it!
Its all very different to track days - not necessarily better - but just different, so well worth a go!

Had a couple of grass moments at Croft where the choice was take out exit cone and my splitter (and next turn in cone!!) or go round them on the grass and save Å“400.
