Hi there,

I'm currently in the middle of a full rebuild on an MHA block.

Does anyone know the FINIS for the 1.7 Oil pump? And are they different between the 1.6 & 1.7.
I assume so as the finis I was given is no longer available (1031013) and differs from the 1.6 one I have.

Any help trying to sort this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ryan

1.6 is not same engine as 1.7 it's a Focus block. So hedging a bet could be a no.

Yeah that's what I thought.

I cannot find anywhere that does a 1.7 oil pump, not even Ford themselves.

I'm struggling to overcome this, I've even tried swapping springs but the springs are different thicknesses.

I don't know if anyone knows the oil pump clearances to check a good used one to reuse.

I've spoke to Ian at Pumabits, but he mainly breaks them to sell the engines rather than break the engines down.

Or as per other post give Paul at CoordSport a ring who happens to also have a Puma in the UK Puma Cup series.
