i got quite a few pairs but only wear about 3 of them regularly. I mostly wear my knee high boots, brown knee highs, black pointy shoes, trainers and catapillar boots. In the warmer months then I just live in my one or 2 pairs of flippy floppy things. not really shoe person. would much rather spend my money on clothes or jewellery.

I am a hoarder and keep shoes just for the memories -even if I would never wear them again tongue.gif

Was speaking to Nadine about this, and was going to count my shoes - but stopped when I got to three pairs of Gucci trainers - decided I didn't want to know after all wink.gif

I haven't got a clue who made my shoes. Who cares? They were all produced by some poor sod in the Far East getting about four pence and a bowl of rice for working seven eighteen-hour days each week.

Then the gullible here in the UK pay more than that guy will earn in a year, for a pair no better than ones you can buy off a market stall, but with a 'designer' label on them.

Sad, or what?

Yep, pretty sad. I hold my hands up, and when I was in my early 20's I bought designer shoes

...then I grew up ..... ish

Got better things to spend my money on. I can only kick myself now about how silly I was spending money on a pair of Manolo Blahnik's, when I could have gone on holiday or done something along those lines 1112202173.gif

1 pair of Pods (now consigned to the bin since finding both soles cracked and letting in copious amounts of snow freezing my feet yesterday)
1 pair of Cat boots
1 pair of trainers
1 pair of Shimano spuds
1 very old pair of Salomon boots I now wear when DIYing

oh

and 1 pair of black shoes from Next

that's my lot...

If paying stupid money for the label attached to a pair of cheaply made shoes raises your spirits, far be it from me to stop you.

I just point out the bleedin obvious that so many seem to miss.

Angelxxx, I never said you did.

If that's the case, why did you buy a car for thousands and thousands of pounds, when there are much cheaper alternatives out there?

If I could buy a Puma without a Ford badge for a 20th of the price I'd be the first one in the queue.
