As I said in the general meet section

I wanted to arrange a meet around the time of my birthday, as mentioned in my "idea" thread and in my member meet section, and I would like to invite anyone I've met before on other meets, and anyone in the Midlands who fancies popping in ja_cool.gif It was pointed out to me that there may be some confusion about it being invitation only so...

here is your invitation cool.gif good.gif ja_cool.gif

We'll meet at a pub, go for a drive, stop off on the way back and then to mine for a barbecue. Possibly continuing into the night if people are interested, we have room for a few people to stay over if they want to drink (first come, first served basis). Entertainment will be provided by DJ Mark on the decks laugh.gif (he is really good) but if people aren't into dance music then we have an eclectic collection of CDs, internet radio and sky music channels good.gif ja_cool.gif

You don't even have to be from the Midlands... I just assumed that folk wouldn't want to travel that far! cool.gif

Playing softball. Tried to slide, failed. Went over my ankle, broke bone, tore tendon, discolated everything!

Have a nice set of crutches, like you had last year IIRC

What's softball? Is that the game like baseball but with a huge ball?

That's the one. 'Supposed' to be safer than baseball.

Sorry Lisa, for stealing your thread. But at least it keeps it bumped :-)

Hmm, I'll see what I can do. wink.gif I'm in a Bath Tub race and fitting the suspension to my Puma that day. I might still stink of River water, but I'll do my best to support your event. smile.gif

Cool; we now have 4 maybes & 1 definite. Ben's pretty much helped me organise, he's given so much advice good.gif

Will need to have definite numbers & food requests as soon as, so I can go shopping for the bbq.

As mentioned in another thread in this section I'm gonna need people to chip in for food (won't be more than Å“5 a head), bring own booze if you intend to stay & drink 10.gif We have a certain amount of booze here & have the capacity to make cocktails or alcoholic smoothies smile.gif
