Possibly it's somewhere on this forum, so a pointer would be welcomed.
Are there any reliable figures known about the number of Puma's that is still around worldwide?
For a starter, in my country (Holland) the number stood at 1.400 in the beginning of 2016 (more recent info not available yet).

Thanks,

Marcel

The UK has the web site

https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/

What is the ETIS territory identifier for Holland cars? According to my data there were only ever 1686 made for NL, 1400 remaining would be very impressive preservation!

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply, the UK seems to be fairly well stocked with Puma's.
According to a Dutch Puma site in total 2.154 cars were delivered to Holland during the period 1998 - 2002.
Interesting to see is that this number even rose around 2008 - 2009, this must be due to cars being imported.
Not sure about the current number still around, but this is likely lower than the 1.400 that were there in early 2016.

Anyway, I have decided to lay my car up for an undetermined period, I managed to find a proper garage not too far off from where I live for sensible money.
The low interest rates (about 0,2 or 0,3 % annually) over here make this possible.
No one look into the future, but my feeling is that the cars will become collectible in times to come, while they are currently for sale at giveaway prices over here.
I like my car too much to sell it for peanuts it this moment, while its still in very good nick.

Marcel

Same over here - too cheap and they will rise, no question.

I'd be curious where the figure of 2154 comes from.

Are you familiar with https://www.etis.ford.com/

If you take a look a Netherlands car, example VIN WF0CXXGAEC1K12565 it is registered as 11-JB-DK and has NL as the territory marker.

There are in total only 1686 cars with NL as the territory. Holland you would expect would be even less, but they will be NL cars I think?

Meaning if there are any more (and I suspect there are) then they may have been destined for other markets. This would be interesting to see as it would tell the story of any difference between the plans for manufacture and the actual demand in compatible markets.

If you know of any Holland cars which don't carry the NL territory I'd be interested to see their ETIS record to see where they were destined for.
