just remember to clean that filter regularly as they can clog quite quickly cutting flow to the turbo bearings killing the turbo.

thanks for the tip warren, been following your thread, the carbon skills are coming along well!
little update, recieved my mocal oil cooler today, it has stainless braided lines, also i opted for a built in thermostat to make sure the oil is kept within a safe temperature range, also in the pic is a take off plate for a oil temp sensor/guage as eventualy i will be using a digital 'AIM' dash which has a direct plug in for an oil temp sensor

Looks expensive, will you be fitting it soon?

I want to have everything ready to do my turbo conversion as quickly as possible, which means I want to have every part I need first, once I have the engine built it will be fitted alongside every part to make it work and survive as long as possible, realistically I think it will be early next year before Its done, but there will be regular updates with various parts il collect and be making / over hauling

I had a good look over them and they appear to have been fully rebuilt with new seals and everything else, they are 'as new' am really pleased with them as they were dirt cheap, just need to get a cross over pipe and pad retainers and there ready to go, already have the adapter plates to fit them to my FRP knuckles

just finished off my brembo focus rs callipers, i removed the 'HIRSCHE' stickers and had to sand down the front of the calipers as they left marks where they had been laquered over, i then resprayed one of them (because i sanded a little deep and went through to the undercoat), added the proper brembo stickers and relaquered them, am really pleased with how they turned out

little up date, i got my new focus rs discs and pads, tried to fit it all this week but the adapter plates i bought didnt fit too good, so i had to modify them a little, i need to have a word with my friend who is an engineer to see if they are safe to fit or wether i need to get new ones made, i didnt get a chance to take any pics with them test fitted on the car, but they are massive and looked sooooo good under the wheels, hopefully get the green light from my engineer friend and will have them on next week.......

brakes fitted! been out for a quick spin today and they feel real good, braking is improved and feels real solid

fitting the brakes was mostly straight forward, i had to modify the caliper a little and also the mounting brackets i bought, the real pain was removing the ends of the solid brake pipes (were they joint the flexi pipe to the caliper) and reflaring the end with a different fitting, as the standard pipes are steel they were a real tough job, we ended up scrapping the left hand pipe and making a new one in copper because it was impossible to flare the end! big thanks to seang for helping and also putting up with me swearing and throwing my tools around like a spoilt child lol

I see you have been to see Peter at Spec-R :)
I have known him a good number of years now, long before Spec-R existed.
Very Very good fabricator, when you can get hold of him.
