Something you don't see very often - motorbikes with sidecar combinations. Whilst waiting for a lift in town [Romford] there were 5 of them, they were different coloured glassfibre bodies.
The most well known motorbike sidecar combination was Arthur & Olive from 'On the Buses'
It was nice to see 'something completely different' [A Monty Phythonism] cool.gif

while on the Outer Hebrides last week I twice overtook 4 red tractors (different models/ages) and thought nothing more about it

I later found out that they were vintage tractors driven by 4 farmers from the Aberdeen area who were doing a tour of the Hebrides!

Oh I don't know. It might depend on which generation you are from. I'm willing to bet the wallace and gromit one would give thiers a run for it's money with the younger crowd biggrin.gif

Oh! I forgot about them [Wallace & Gromit] Didn't they also have an old Ford car.
There's also 'Two Fat Ladies'. Did they had one as well? rolleyes.gif

Seem to recall the sidecar coming away from the bike while taking Olive to hospital and her shooting off down a side road before ending up in a ditch.
New car, caviar, four star daydream, think I'll buy me a football team.

It was a legal requirement for sidecars to come detached in a comedy manner in all films and TV shows up to 1988.

I saw that episode recently, the end anyway where they all got stuck in the mud.

There was also the sidecar torpedo in The Spy Who Loved Me. My mates mates Mum was Naomi the black haired helicopter pilot in that film and my mates Dad was the barman in Max calbas in Cairo. He then went on to play Head of section I, in Octopussy. He was going to play the tennis playing indian characyer but they got he real tennis pro at the last minute so Albert played Saruddin instead.

We were at his sons wedding at the weekend and I shook his hand. To think he knows Roger Moore, Kirk Douglas etc etc. Pretty cool, and he loved Emily! biggrin.gif

I am a HUGE Bond fan. Some might even suggest a geek! laugh.gif

I should have asked him to get me a job as an extra on the next film. Henchman 3 or something.
