Anybody involved currently in any motorsport on this forum ? be it racing, rallying, karting?
Anybody race or rally a puma ?
If so, what series are you doing ?

Turby,

Is that your Lotus Exige on your profile ?

I have just bought a mk 2 Elise to build in to a race car. going to go for a turbo engine.
not sure what series to race it in yet though.

Yep, that's mine - but its slower than the puma though wink.gif

The only place you can race a car with your spec will be in the Lotus On Track (http://www.lotus-on-track.com/)

Have you got a race license ?

have done a gymkhana in the puma - not the best car in standard trim

just marshal now, used to do a bit of stewarding and dep c of c on an endurance rally, might be organising a gymkhana later in the year.

I have had a go too biggrin.gif
couple Hill Climbs and a Sprint in my FRP
(that's it with track days too)

sorry not really any help, and probably a bit flat trumpet like, but it was great fun and there is always next year biggrin.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

it was fantastic cool.gif
this post was after the first go here
was faster the second year. Really got to a point and recognised that to be faster I need a car I am not mentally attached too

lots of granite wall crazy.gif not that you are consious of it whilst climbing.
the class I was in did mean I was not competitive as it went from over 1.6 upwards, so I was against Evos laugh.gif

Truley comitting, that thrill of total concentration and comitment.

ooo I used to rally a tarmac rally a Chevette as well! Though it did have a 1400 BDA in it...

Here's a pic of me in '95 doing the Wexford rally in southern Ireland.

The wife and me do Tarmac rallying (she's the driver !),,we used to rally an Ax with motorbike throttle bodies and a Dogbox( we won our class in the first year and won the 2007 Scottish Tarmack Championship in our 2nd year !). We've recently bought a 1400 16v Peugeot 106 with a Sadev 6spd box (rev's to 9k). I'm not allowed to drive "her" 106 so I had to get my own car - I bought an Ex ford KA challenge car ,,don't know if I can handle 90bhp !? Did my first event (SV)as the "driver" in November but found it far too slow compared to the Nova's and 106's in the class so project 1400 16v is in place !
