...to buy your Puma? I don't know WHY i'm even looking beyond a 60 mile radius, but there are more available if i do! There's a black one for sale, £2k, FSH, R reg - looks lovely - IF ONLY I LIVED 150 miles nearer!!

Would it be silly of me to even 'comprehend' travelling that far? Or should i stick to my 40 mile radius? lol biggrin.gif tongue.gif

I'm in a similar situation to you right now, seems to be a lot of nice black pumas going for good prices up in Scotland mad.gif

For me the trouble is that I wouldn't want to buy a car without inspecting it and test driving it first, so that makes it 2 long round trips if you then go back to pick it up. It's one thing travelling 200 miles to pick up the car of your dreams, it's another thing to travel 200 miles to go see a car that could well be useless.

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Meh I have travelled the 60m radius for a car and would go further.. I usually look up to the 100m point ..

.. I did have an idea though.. ask people on here to look at it for you.. say you see one in Peterborough but live in Mancs.. pm someone in Peterborough and ask if they will go and inspect it.. that way you won't have a wasted journey?

Best of all was that the dealer gave me the keys to the FRP and I had a whole day to spend blasting round the Lincolnshire countryside making my mind up.

Didn't have the heart to say my mind was already made up when I clapped eyes on her! biggrin.gif

Hello,

I was remember getting the plane down to Birmingham airport and then getting a taxi to Burntree motor company in Tipton to paying for my Ford Racing Puma, and then driving 360 or so miles, all the way back to Edinburgh in my Ford Racing Puma.

Katwoman may have been correct when she said to me that I need to get a life.

If it was a real minter then going the few extra miles would be worth it.

I drove a mate up to Leeds so he could get his BMW X5.

300 mile round trip to London and Back....well worth it though.

The good thing about travelling a distance to pick one up is that you get to have a nice play around with it on the way home! biggrin.gif

My FRP came from Feltham, my Focus from somewhere in Surrey (can't remember exactly where) and the TT from bloody Yeovil, which is miles away.
