Stereo help!

8) Does anyone know how to remove the 5000 stereo and swap it for the 6000cd?

Dont really want to give any more money to ford for a while! Is it an easy job or are there any really nice people from leeds on here that wouldnt mind givin me a hand?!

All you need is a stereo removal tool from halfords(just a couple of quid),looks a bit like a couple of U bent coat hanger wires.
I think you'll find it will be a straight swap from a 5000 unit to a 6000 unit,no additional wiring required whatsoever.

Go to to the local Ford dealer. they are far cheaper 45p each I recal. The set is about £5 from Halfords!

There is a 6000 cd for sale in the 'For Sale' forum :wink:

Easy job, as they say, there are 2 sockets that u unplug and the ariel. The sockets will fit in to a 6000 no probs and can go in only one way. Make sure you ignition is off when your swapping.
