Already got one amp and want to install another but worried about the standard alternator and battery being able to take it. How much power have people got in their standard cats? I have 300W but want to take it up to 740W.

I got a Rockford Fosgate 501S which is 500watts RMS output (so must be even higher input), on my FRP, and I have had no problems so far!

yeah should be fine mate, I had 5 amps running in my old Escort and it was fine as long as the engine was running. play it with the engine off and the battery went flat in 10 seconds sad.gif

I'm running an Alpine head unit putting out 60w x 4 plus a sub powered by an Alpine MRV-T707 putting out 600w x 1 bridged.

I've had no problems & use it with the engine running & off, while cleaning etc, although I don't use it at full chat so it won't be drawing anywhere near max amps - probably best not to turn the radio up & run the a/c if ur in a hurry though laugh.gif
