Just kicked off a post in the general puma discussion forum that maybe shoulda been put in here - oops  :sorry:

Just wanting some advice/info on the FRP

It's called 'Fingers Crossed!'

Be much appreciated if the guys who check here could have a quick butcher's and see whatcha think.

Other than that - 'hi', hopefully soon to own an FRP, I'm completely envious of the lot of you who do, but hope you're having a great time with them. biggrin.gif

Mark,

welcome to the site. There is a whole host of information in this section relating to the FRP, including a buyer's guide of what to look for. Yes, they are slightly higher maintenance than a standard Puma, but they share a lot of the same mechanicals.

There are a few FRPs (including mine!) available for sale in the For Sale section at the moment. Have a nose around and see what you like the look of. IMO there is not a lot to rival it in the ?10-12k bracket (Clio 182 maybe) and you're essentially getting a rally bred car.

I've been more than happy with the reliability of mine - as long as you source a well looked after and maintained car, you're in for a lot of fun! The brakes tend to be the area that needs the most care, so make sure they've been looked after.

Hope that helps - feel free to post if you have specific questions and I'm sure someone will get back to you.

Cheers
Nick
